Another good couple of days. When the weather permitted I got the drivers wheel arch and floor finished, sealed the welded joints, filled the gaps & premiered.
Cleaned and Schutzed most of the underside he now looks better than he did when he was new.
Almost ready for painting just need to sort out the clutch, brakes and fuel line this will have to wait for next weekend as it back to work tomorrow.

Got back working on Jim today, I decided he needs a brake servo, so I fitted this below the passenger floor.
I ran the pipes in and connected them into Jim’s braking system which is quite easy to do just need to breed them after connecting the pipes.
This is when I found a problem I could not get a pedal..... I then found this.
So spent a couple of hours changing the cylinder and had to make up a new short brake pipe as the original one refused to come out of the old cylinder.
I made a deflector for the servo to protect it.
With this all done and the front brakes bled I still couldn’t get a decent pedal. I need to bleed the rear brakes but will have to wait until I take the front end of the ramp. The Rain started again so I retired to the garage and did a little prep work.
Weather permitting tomorrow Jim will get all his four wheels on the ground and all the brakes bled and then just needs painting.

I had to snap the old clip off but the new went on quite, easy is was the small copper pipe I had real ploblems with I could not remove the nut holding the pipe into the cylnder so had to undo the flexie side and make up a new piece.
But I got they in the end

I managed to get Jim back on his four wheels
But not for long as there is a little welding to do on the inner sill above the back wheel, which I could not get to with Jim's front end in the air.
So I got the grinder out again and cut the rot out.
Then the rain started so i retreated into the garage and did a little more on the doors
I am hoping for a dry weekend so I can finish the structural work and carrying on with the respray the cab

The weather was great yesterday so I rushed home from work and masked up Jim and primed the rest of the Cab
Then for the top coat of 2 pack diamond white.
Then back to my usual painting skills
So poor Gladys had to give up her nice warm bed so Jim can rest under cover while his paint hardens and I can then polish out the runs
All in All a very successful couple of days. So Heidi is letting me have a day off tomorrow and we are taking ED the Wolseley 1500 out on a run for Drive it Day and a pub lunch
