Something else on the driveway

I dont think its possible to be truthful, i might be wrong but as mine is a direct acting unit, the remote unit wouldn't work as there would be no way of connecting to the brake pedal.I think the remotes are for single lines only as well, mines tandem.
Something will turn up soon..
Am driving to Wales this weekend to pick up six tyres, i only need two but i got em at a decent price.Bit of a drive but ill take grandad, his 'old time' stories will keep me awake! [}:)]

Will keep a welcome in the hillsides if you pass Cardigan on your welsh adventure - not that Cardigan is a place that gets passed very often as it is right on the edge:I but you and grandad welcome for a brew if nearby. Sorry I missed chance to meet you at weekend, hope you got what you needed doing done - bedford looks great so far[^]

Tackled the rot on the cab this weekend, typical TK horror story :(

The passenger side, usual story, a small looking rust patch turns into a lot of work.Floor removed and the box section which forms the step panel.

After some work it looks like this with some more to do to add strength to the step area.

The drivers side, well after prising open the box section under the step i found this...

Which i have so for downsized to this, the floor will have to go though as it is a mess having being crudely plated over in the past several times. You can see the main cab crossmemeber which luckily is still strong and should make good to weld to.Ive drowned it in kurust acid treatment which i hope does as it says on the bottle [?]

And this week i shall have the pleasure of recreating as near as possible this panel. Its the lower part of the door post and support for the pedal area of the floor.I cant afford NOS Bedford panels unfortunately..I shall make it in two pieces and fit together.

Lastly, the only other rot on the cab was behind the passenger double seat, an area which is a walkway as well..

When ive done the cab, all i have to do is paint the truck completely, some parts are already done in green, red and blue. Then finish the living area.

:D

now that's rusty!! good luck.

Thought of you today as joined an army convoy from Brawdy army base and in amongst the land rovers and big trucks there was a TK still on active duty, really looked the part in army green:)

Tckled the drivers side horror story this weekend, infact i think ive been out on that devilish gravel drive every night this week past.

After cutting out the dead meat i was left with a medium to large sized gap..

I tackle the floor first before the step section.

How it looks now, the black stuff is a bitumen paint, not exactly good for the enviroment nor my skin but it works.

The whole of the arch where the front wing bolts was cut out and fresh metal welded in.
