fit my 390 62 Galaxie..[?]
What do you think, I dont know much about the interchangeability of Deerborn mills.
I was kinda hoping (dreaming) that you would tell me that motor would fit straight on the bellhousing, engine mounts, rad hoses, and is the best motor design ever out of Deerborn :I
sorry to let you down there jules :I
big blocks have a different stud pattern for the bellhousing to smallblocks so the boxes dont interchange
the best of the b/blocks is the 427 side oiler, but they are very rare and cost zillions [:0]
my personal favourite is the 1970-73 351 cleveland,(think shelby gt350) which is a "middle block" basically a s/block with the timing cover extension cast in the block.originally designed as a NASCAR motor, and the modern version is still based on it .used to know a bloke that had one in a cobra, 600 bhp n/a then over 1000 with the nos ran 10 sec on street tyres smoking then all the way [8D]
