firstly, apologies, I have no pics at mo:(

got round to removing Smurfs 1/4 lights today...are they supposed to be in a dozen pieces each???

with lots of spare bits & bobs I have one completed and looking like new and the 2nd is all sprayed up and waiting for reassembly...hopefully will back in the van next weekend and will post some pics of before & after:D



 
was literally the poor rubbers holding all together.... cant do pics at mo, 2 whole handfulls of rust from the drivers door!

Now have 2 very, very rust free 1/4 lights with reasonable rubbers and all secured win all the correct places....

oh!! and STILL have a chassis cab (no3 ) parked up the drive!!!!!!:( giving it till commerfest then will go FREE to a good home!!!!



 
Good on yer for restoring the quarterlights - a tricky little job for sure. I can't understand why the chassis cab hasn't been snatched up - how many others can you think of that are still out there[V]

sorry guys thats my fault. i will call tomorrow col and arrange coming down next weekend to collect it. just had my head up my srse for the last couple of months trying to get things done and keep forgetting.:(;)

im sure collin will slap my wrists for me. as i did speak a week or so ago and said i would come down and pic it up soon, but with everything thats been going on and trying to get some of the vans ready for commer fest i just havent had any spare time to do anything.:(;)

technically it was snapped up ages ago, almost 8 months actually!! like Woolfy says he will get his wrists slapped, just getting a bit frustrated with it sitting on the drive detria
orating when it deserves better:D

changing the 1/4 lights is 'interesting'....amazing just how rotton they were, neither had any lower frame at all and both window guides has fell off into the bottom of the doors just below the window rubbers, I'm suprised the glass hadn't fell out[:0]

I asked a question once....Do Commer PB 1/4 lighys fit my later Dodge??...nobody replied so I'm guessing nobody had the answer?

well the answer is, that yes they do fit:D:D

i used to use my hand held pda phone camera for pics on here but I haven't got it anymore, I will try and learn how to work cazz's camera, I keep asking her but she is always too busy:D



 
hi colin can you do me a favour please mate and text over you moby number again as the message you sent a few weeks back has some how got deleted, i tried calling a number a few minutes ago which i thought was yours from anoter mesage but it went to an answer phone and the guys name was ian, so im guessing it wasnt your number. cheers mate i will be up until about 11oclock.;)

Still gotta have that steering idler done that was an advisory last year lol! I'm letting the garage do it as I don't have the time or facilities to do it myself at the moment........poor Smurf is like a small child scared of the dentist lol (unlike me of course, I love the dentist....Gulp!)
