Rupert the Van

transit mk1 and the old leyland am (sherpa) panels make rocking horse crap look common martin. would be well worth it as there are more and more turning up but people wont take them on as they always need panels lol. i looked into it when i got that sherpa. couldnt find a single person who could make them

Finally got him back! Just make sure that if any of you are out there are considering a 'professional' restoration make sure you use professionals! Glad to say it was no one on here or anyone in the commer circle. Just spent most of the day getting all the locks working and have serious doubts over the authenticity of the MOT! Horn doesn't work, washers don't work and the speedo is reading 2500 miles more than the mot certificate which either means there is some doubt about it or the 'restorers' managed to do an average of just over 200 miles an hour before I picked him up!

Not wanting to bad mouth people but this has been a very hard and painful lesson.

Rupert will ride again!

sounds like a saucy mot mate, either that or the van does 200 miles an hour (in which case we will ALL be racing down there to steal your engine lol) but if you can get the little bits done and working then get the major bits checked out at least it wont be a total loss
