Ran went on a festival trip which saw here drive to Barnstable then to Polzeath the next day, she then had a rest for three days whilst i didnt then she drove back to bristol, all with out one hitch, she was a dream to drive and i smiled all the way. Me and a mate spent a lot of time in here and bloody loved it, she got so much attention and if i wasnt already a taken man im sure i could have found a new lass just from sitting in her. Here are a couple of pictures when we were beach hopping and one of our bunny speakers which were rubbish but looked great...
Sunset in Rans window. Yep she has a new scratch courtesy of a bush with a wall hiding in it. Im seeing it as a good thing as i was hesitant to start work on the body work as she looked so clean, but now there is a reason to start. Tomo she is off to the Gower for the weekend
Excellent photos - great to see Ran found another loving home, hope weather holds for you at the Gower, imagine that'll be great commer country too - would love to see some pics of your welsh trip if any available.
Scratches add character, i should have stood in front of it...
Whats worse then a scratch is being attacked by a massive crab, which luckily i fought off so that means im forgiven for the scratch.
As you can guess Ran was a dream and drove to the gower with no problems, so this week alone she has done over 500 miles. what a beaut. the only new problems are that the quater window wont lock, and the drivers lock wont work, but as the window wont close you can just put your arm through to open her, so it looks like Ran is trying to solve problems herself. About 15 of us went and i had to fight everyone out of the van, so i can see a few more vans cropping up in my friend cicle soon... Matt
Matt,Ran is a girl she likes to be treated gently
firstly the quarter window, there is a little chrome plate, which the catch goes over, gently push outwards on it as you bring the catch to & down should do the trick...but make sure you fix the door lock first, take off the door card have a look around,I managed to fix this once before,,she doesn't like to have the door locked from inside the van!If you accidently push the handle down put the key in the lock straight away & un lock her,or this happens [8D]hope that helps.
P.s.don't forget she is getting on a bit so gently gently
pps nice crab [}]
Great stuff, was thinking of you over on the Gower this weekend and hoping weather was as glorious for you as it was on our westerly welsh coastal bit in Pembrokeshire, hope you enjoyed it - great crab, are you thinking of getting it chromed[?]
p.s. notice one of the classic camper badges has got a commer in the middle, is that an original or a specially made type thing?

How many mates [:0],,,I think one has just joined??
My mates are looking for box 80s VW, we want to travel Europe a bit so nothing to classic. We had a beaut of a day on sunday, no hangovers, sunshine and slave labour. All they needed was regular tea breaks. My mate brought over his MG and we had a day of tinkering, the first of many.
