hey i offered you lot choclate bicces if you come and give me a hand again and no one wanted to know. and i offerd bacon sarnys aswell. see those young guys know how to club together at the right time. so once again i make my offer but not this coming weekend as im away. but the following one if anyone would like to come to my house for a welding and general maintenance day on either the saturday or the sunday your most welcome. ( i do need the help as many hands make job get done faster) and i cant keep turnig up to these meets in my bloody works van, it does my sweed in.[V]

try taking a big snazzy picture of bacon sarnies along with borrowing above pic of tea and lovely biccies - you never know, added temptation might just tip the balance

hi chris, i have a few Ran based questions.
Ive just got a new gas can for her so thats all in place and the stove is working a treat. there is a tap that is at the bottom of the cooker that is not plugged in to anything, do you know what this is for?. ive not bothered with the fridge, as i wont need it but im guessing that runs of the gas as well if i turn on the fridge tap. Also with the lights inside the van im guessing that they run of the seperate battery, which then re charges as the van drives. i met up with my mate who has a van that moves on to the main battery after the lesiure one has run out, so it got me worrying. No worrys if you dont know the answers but thought id ask...
Got to sort out Rans fuel tank which is leaking on the top seal, i filled her up today and noticed the smell so now im watching my money drip away. As im guessing getting a new tank would be a bugger, im proberly going to have to patch it up with fibre glass, for the time being

i can help you with a tank as i am making some aluminium ones fairly soon

There should be full wiring diargrams for the electrics with the manual,all hand written by previous owner on folded a4,I never really understood them fully either ,but I did use the issolator accidently once(don't touch the switch behind drivers seat)!you might have to post a pic with the tap below cooker?I think you mean the fridge,but it could be extra gas tap for a cupboard mounted gas heater?I know someone has one may be Ray?The fridge I did use on 12v only it's well worth it but make sure you turn it off at end of journey as it will zap battery, engine running only,so can be used while driving,then switch to gas if you dare I never did I found it stayed cold enough to keep bassics like milk butter,I also used a cool box.Gas before journey to get cold switch off gas at bottle too! once your packed & fridge loaded,with enging running turn on 12v small metal switch at bottom left of fridge,don't forget to switch it off at your destination. Get a fire extinguisher too..

He has a van that he uses daily and has had loads over the years. But no idea about other driver or there vans, so was pleased to here they are about.

Hi Matt - Bessie has 2 of the gas take-off taps - one by fridge and one by back door. Am also guessing that they are for heaters or for budding scientists to run their bunsen burners from out on location

I have the same connection in the corner where the bench seat meets the fridge cupboard. Harvey also came with the gas fire to run off the connection, there is a pieces of rubber pipe attached to the fire that just pushes onto the stub end of the valve. It looks kinda dangerous so I haven't actually tried it[xx(], I would imagine it would get warm very quickly inside the van with the fire on [:0]
