They're the things that really cost the money. It's easy to do a quick repair to get an MOT, but I'm sure we've all been there where a vehicle's had a patch put over some grot only to appear as a massive hole two years down the line.
Now I'm not implying that this has. I've never seen it, but I would personally be a little sceptical of someone buying cheap, getting it tested and punting it on for a profit. At least until I'd seen it with my own eyes.
Restoring a van to high standard is what costs money and is worth paying for (Think Super Vista)
It doesn't mean that it is instant profit even then. It's possible to spend £000's on a vehicle, restoring/modifying/improving. Doesn't automatically make it worth the sum of those parts.
