Out and About

IMG_0356.JPG IMG_0357.JPG It was quite late. Just outside Dawlish, Devon. 1st is nearside 2nd off side. Quite lucky we are in a corner so place looks a lot more rural and cosy than it actually is. Lovely weather though:)

Yes. And sunrises/sunsets. The rain came at 3am and has only just stopped. We weren't the only ones battening down the hatches last night for an easy departure this morning. And only 1 small leak in a side window. I had used crack creeper on another area of seal which seems to be holding up.

Great, I've just got back from a place called Solva in Pembrokeshire. The scenery along with the views were amazing.

5 days, been a good summer in my van with trips to Grassington, Llanbedr, Worcestershire and Solva. Looking forward to a trip in October, might go back to the coast to watch the seals pup.

It's a great spectacle, well worth the journey. Can't get to close though with those big Bulls.......

Just had a couple of days on the Dorset coast again. One of our favourite haunts.

I hadn't explored Portland before, but was pleasantly surprised. Here's Chesil beach from Portland.

Then a night at Eype (Pronounced Eep) 1 mile west of Bridport. Last time we were there we nearly got blown off the cliff. This time the weather was perfect.

Now that's a view to wake up to! Portland is on the horizon. West Bay is a mile away over the cliff path, so a nice walk home after some of the best Fish and chips ever.
There was a big new landslip onto Seatown beach, so plenty of new fossils to choose from. Even found a large lump of (fools) gold.

I wonder if we'll get out in the van again this year?

Lovely photos, Colin !

...........................and here's another.

I should explain that in June, on our way back from the Arctic in the T25, we called in on Jostein and his lovely family in Oslo. Now I know that VWs are normally not discussed here, but this is the T25 by the lighthouse at the most northerly point on mainland Europe, and the time is quarter past midnight, and it's 20Celcius, and there's snow..................
