New van - need a bit of advice

Can’t help there as live in Devon. Maybe you’ll have to have a ring round and pick the most helpful one. It’s not like you’re wanting it rebuilt so not too much of a risk getting ripped off. Have you tried speedyspares to see if he has replacements?

If it's just missing keys maybe ask a local locksmith. Or see if you can get hold of some FS/FP/FT series keys (mine are FS) and see if any fit.
For example

The van has either been hit by something or driven into something. The skin has bent, moving the lock out of position. Needs hammering back into shape but I'll replace the skin eventually. The lock itself seems ok from what I can tell.

Another quick question folks. I've not got access to my van right now so...how wide are the windows in the front doors? More or less than 50cm?

You can stand down Panky. I was ordering weather strips by the metre from Woolies Trim but just realised they’re on Mr Maltas’ site so I’ll order from there. Thank you very much for your kind offer though.

I’m having trouble getting the Commer on my drive so having to leave it at a friends place. It’s making little things like this very difficult.

Out of curiosity, though it's probably a long way away at the moment, what's the process for an overdrive conversion? Can I add an overdrive unit or do I need an entirely new gearbox? I only ask because there is a convenient J-type on eBay and I'm thinking of buying it to add further down the line.

I know I'll need the electronics, shortened prop shaft and a mount.

If it's from an early car (Audax range) then it will bolt straight on with a shortened prop shaft. If it's from an Arrows range car (Hunter/fast back Rapier) then all the internals of the OD box need to be swapped over to the Commer gear box housing as the input/output shafts and bell housings are different. Unfortunately you can't just bolt the OD onto a four speed box.
Out of interest which one were you looking at, I can't see one suitable on there.

Fit a lexus 6 speed gearbox. A full conversion kit is available from Commerracer
