Not looking good mate our application has not been accepted this year

Think the problem is Sandra from clarion events who organise the show has left. Her replacement is Daniel Nwaokolo who is the show director,ive got his landline number and his personel mobile number but he doesnt answer either! Ive left him answer phone messages to. Lets hope we have better luck next year

I should think its way to late to get the call now, this show is organised and allocated months in advance, the tickets and set up instructions are sent out early October so its highly unlikely that CVF will be there this year. The organisers do like to vary the smaller clubs so that there is always something new for visitors to see otherwise the show can become stale and at the end of the day its a business and the organisers want as much footfall as they can get so the show has to be different every year.

If what your saying about the organisers changing the show each year, how come the same clubs go year on year with the same old faces and the same old cars? Every year I have organised it ive tried to vary the vans that attend so we take something diffrent and interesting, but last year no one came forward with any diffrent vans that hadnt been before so myself, mike(hazel), steve and rich had to put our vans on for the second year. But saying that we put an interesting display on last year I felt with the butchers van and rupert attending as well. We were also in a prime location so to cross an up and comming fan club off the list seems strange to me. I bet the avengers owners club are there again and the humber club plus many more.

The bigger clubs are always accepted its the smaller clubs that get varied....I dont make the rules! but I know people who do. There is always a larger application for stands than there is space so smaller clubs tend to get a couple of years then are changed for other clubs that have applied but not been succesful. As a point of interest the Classic Camper Club won Best Stand and then couldn`t get accepted for the next show!
If your not happy take it up with the organisers.

I know jon has spent lots of time on this but how can you take it up with the organisers when they wont reply to emails .phone calls or messages??
don't mean this to sound funny but perhaps beachboy could have a word with the people he knows to see how to get an answer?

How am I stirring it? I am just saying what is true!
It matters not to me if CFV are at the show I just happen to know what the policy is regarding allocating stands. There are lots of other clubs who want to display at the NEC and there simply isn`t room to accomodate all of them so sadly some miss out and the powers that be try to be fair and ensure all clubs that want a stand eventually get one.
If the organisers are not responding to messages does that not tell you something?
