Im happy with what I have written Chris.
I have been accused of stirring things! How? All I did was answer why CVF has not been allocated stand space this year, I know the answer I gave is correct but someone has taken umbridge and seems to think I have sway over the organisation of a major classic show which I do not I just happen to personally know one of the organisers.
This is a public forum and we all pay to be here so we are all entitled to answer a post even if someone else does not want to hear the reply.

I for one read Alan's post in the manner in which it was written; nothing inflammatory but that's the trouble with the written word; open to interpretation :)

It is a shame that we don't get to share some vans with the rest of the world, but other clubs deserve a chance too. That is certainly not to belittle the MONUMENTAL efforts that folks have put in over the last three years, if it were left to just me we wouldn't have made it to the first show, so truly thanks to all!

Personally I would rather see more of the smaller clubs than the massive, well funded, showy clubs that are really there as a marketing exercise to attract more members; they have too much carpet and not enough vehicles and heart for my liking.

As for Facebook taking over; it'd save a few pennies! Plus I'm not on Facebook; remember that if it's free, YOU are most likely the product. The amount of information that can be learned about you is invaluable.
 
Thinking about it I think a simple apology is in order for any misunderstandings! like Colin says these wordy things!

Another thing with FB apparently is that any pics you upload become their property and not yours. This means they can sell them on and you get nothing. You might even owe them money if you re-publish your their pic.

Hi Gang.
They had health and safety issues last year on the Saturday, with
too many people in the motorbike hall at one point and they made lots of people move to a different hall (exceeding fire regulations maybe, I dunno). This may have contributed to what is going to be a significantly different layout this year.
Also I now had to forward to the organisers a copy of our public liability insurance and a written risk assessment this year. What a pullarver (is that how its spelt?). After getting annoyed I put my happy glasses on and realised that that probably meant some smaller traders wouldnt have insurance or be bothered with a risk assessment so hopefully less competition:)[}:)]
Hope to seem some of you there anyway even there is no official CVF representation as I get lonely.
