he finds them at rustoration land!!!
when r j grimes closed we bought back 38 renault master van fulls of rootes bits as it was all going in the skip
we rescued every commer panel we could as at the time nobody wanted the commer bits but it seems like we had a sixth sense
a lot of it has gone to martin for his various projects and for use on the smurf and newark commer,its nice to see it used

it was a while back; a ns rear corner panel (not the lower one, martin sorted me out with a pair about 4 years ago :), then realised how rare they were and how many of his own vans needed them)

Very good work.

I met a chap once who visited Grimes years back, they had bought up masses of wartime Hillman/Humber/Commer spares, I remember him saying he found a shed type building that was full to the rook with Rootes 4 and 6 cyl sidevalve petrol engines!

If you get any peak 'prototypes' which don't pass your high standards they might still be suitable for us, as under our Hi-Tor top they won't be seen. If not we could seriously be interested in options after this summer's fun.

I'd be amazed if Sybhil's peak is worse than ours, our front gutter is currently held in place with white gaffer tape :( as both front corners have become detached (ie. when the DPO's filler dropped off).

sybhils peak is awfull don't look up [V]ok in dry weather but when you have to use the wipers it is like a mud storm I think the expanding foam [xx(] gets wet & diacharges something resembling mud yuk!
