I'll get a proper thread up for the commer soon! Need to start using this site more. I expect once the comers home and I start breaking bits I'll be on here loads haha

Few small bits done, got a new exhaust on order which I will pick up next weekend, Not a bad little retro rack, still owes me less then £600 ha
 
Used to have a lot of fun in those Metros back in the late 80s, took a lot of abuse around the streets of West London. Wasn't the same when the K series engined ones came along.
 
Yea I'm lucky to have my work have kept at home so I don't have a commute also means I don't often drive my owns cars but the metro always start first time after being sat for days and they just takes aloud of abuse of me hacking about, one of the best cars I ever owned

Tidied up a few pics of paint although although with a rattle can so could do with being done properly but its ok for a hack about,
 
Update time and not a good one, I took the metro to the new years day meet at brooklands today awesome day as always, on the way home I hit a pit how and have blown up the hydrolastic suspension and now the cars sat on its ass haha. Don't think its gonna be an easy fix either never played with hydro setup before an TBH it was the thing on the metro I was always worried about going wrong
 
It's only pipes and displacers (he says who's never owned a car with it - does a Citroen count?) so more than likely a burst pipe. I was very nervous about the BX's suspension until I had to change the suspension spheres - took me all of ten minutes:)
 
True, The car sat low anyway and I had never played with the suspension and I am only the 2nd owner and I don't think the little old lady before he had done anything ha so something must have been wrong anyway for it to start to sag, Gonna have a play tomorrow.
 
Cheers! Found issue with the metro, hole in one of the metal pipes where the exhaust rubbed against it, took the old pipe off and made a new bits the same size and on it went nice easy fix. Only issue I have in the hrydrolastic pump I borrowed is broken so I need to get it taken somewhere to be pumped up but not many garages have them now ha
 
Not updated this in a while, I got the metro all sorted, I ended up buying a hydro pump which was a fun expense but it is a rather good one. So as I know how much of a pain it is to get hold of one just a side note if anyone has a car that has hydrolastic and it ever needs pumping up let me know.I'm not a business so I won't be charging silly prices I can travel as long as fuel is paid and its not a million mile away, happy to do it for the price of some fluid and a pint.

My red mini is also back on the paint shop so maybe I'll get it done for summer. Although I have said that the past 4 year now haha.
 
Defo not someone with a fancy camera that I expect cost more then then car took it haha

She scrubs up well although is starting to go on places, needs a rear valance, passenger wing, bonnet and drives door really, do might be repairable though, she's provisionally booked in for a respray at the end of the year, same colour just freshen up.
