I am still lurking around on here. I have tried that blue one again with no answer. My plan is to turn up too the door with a bundle of cash and I am also gonna take one of the minis. Last time my mate went in his work van with his hi vis on and I reckon he just wanted it cheap so he could scrap it haha. Hopefully going in a old car will show them that i do have an interest in old stuff.
Progress on the red mini incase anyone is interested.
Both subframes are in. I am waiting on one other bit to turn up so I can get the rear on its wheels. All the wiring is in and half the brakes lines are done.
Clubby is still in daily use and falling to bits, and my dads woody is still nice and rusty but he does have a rather big pile of parts no including my latest little bargain find. A full set of unused wood!
and just incase I was no busy enough my GF decided to buy herself another metro.
my fault really as I found it but was too good to miss out on. 1 lady owner from new. Every single bit of paper work, 14,500 miles was sat in here garage for a year after she passed away. He daughter didn't want it but also didn't want it scrapped so £150 later and it was on my drive way. Need a few small bits sorted for an MOT but nothing major.
