Try that website, it has a mailing list and they email you weekly with great tips and techniques, not just for slr cameras but for compacts like yours:) You would be suprised as to what you can achieve with even the most modest kit:)Most of mine are with a Nikon slr body and adaptors to run the cheap old lenses that nobody cares for anymore [8D] gotta love recycling!

Thanks for that mate i'll have a mooch around the website;-)

Sorry Chris the windscreen is bust:( but yes all of the 205s use the same screen to my knowledge:) only got side windows in tact on this one.

Currently building a sheet metal bender using some old angle iron i found laying about! nice cheap and easy way to make my own panels:D run out of cutting discs so at least this keeps me busy in the meantime, also built a welding bench out of scrap [8D] Busy beeeee

Right i havent been totally lazy with the commer...just a bit slack:I also had an incident with a ditch and my saab, so had to repair that:(

Made a sheet mental bender out of scrap, just need to find 1 more bit of angle iron for it:

yes it looks a little pathetic but it only has to bend thin metal anyway, so itll do perfectly for the commer! Need to make a trip to get some sheet steel, then i can get cracking on again with the sides!

Tonight i started on the peak, its quite daunting but im already making rather tidy progress! i have cut the whole thing off and patched in some new metal and some of the guttering, just need to resecure it onto the commer and work out the completely missing parts! I shall get photos of the progress tomorrow:)

Some photos of the peak in progress, its really hard trying to work out how its shaped when theres not alot there :p but its coming along ok. Trying to tactfully use the gutter as a guide for the shape, replacing bits as i go. I tacked the peak back on as i needed it up there for reference as to where the metal goes. Once i have enough new metal tacked in, i shall take it back down and get it all welded up properly :)

Good job.... but why does it remind me of the film "Batteries not included" :D:D:D

Moley and Brian the Snail :)

we could make you a complete new inner and outter peak if needed, take a look at paul goldsmiths hunny and the other van sunny on readers rides.it might make it a bit easier for you.;)

Big Bad Woolf

Hi woolfy, as much as id love the ease of simply buying panels, i am on a very tight budget right now and so thats not finacially viable as i know these panels are not cheap to reproduce! I also quite enjoy the challenge! If you have any pics/dimensions of the inner peak, that would be awesome! Otherwise i shall struggle on and find a way to make it all fit!

Thanks! apart from buying 2 new panels for the back, i have spent absolutely sod all so far! hoping to keep it that way for quite a while....haha

Yeah, the only problem really is its very slow progress. I intend to get the camper repaired and resprayed this year and then the internals and general pimping ready for being on the road next year.

Well, looks like progress on the camper will have to stop for a while :(

Workshop got broken into again, got over 1ks worth of stuff stolen, police have been informed and im trying to sort out with my dads insurance company about claiming. Not terribly happy, and annoyingly i have a very good idea who it was, but cant prove it.

Feels weird having to start again a bit, going to save for some extra nice gear and an alarm system!

That must be a real gutting feeling mate. Keep your chin up and as you say, invest in a good alarm system (and give the toe rag a pasting if you find out it was him).
