My New Baby!!!

It looks like you have piped up similarly to what I have done with the lecky pump, except I've got a connection after the thermostat for the inlet to the heater. It looks like the heater is by-passing the rad and the engine gets hot before the stat has a chance to open.

Configuration number 20 and still no heat out of heater, engine overhating and cold rad

I think it's time to disconnect the heater and make sure everything is OK without it:I

Heater hoses disconnected and pulled back through cab. One out the passenger window clamped closed. The other one out the window connected to the water mains. Water pressure applied until all air pushed out of the system with the pump turned on. Reconnected to heater and I have heat in the cab, I have had to turn the fan controller right down. At one point I had the water pump rigged up out the van and it emptied a bucket of water with a six foot jet of water in 5 seconds. The pumps push well but take some bleeding as they suck at sucking. Hence the mains water supply. Cheers for the help as always Panky.

Mines fitted very low down in line with the radiator outlet, no issues priming:)

Had a look down there. Without moving the rad forward, it's tight down there.

The pumps like a good head of water. Mount it as low as possible :)

"You,re only supposed to blow the bloody SLIDING doors off"

I got a valve tapped into the blank in the head...have to take the head off but depending on ability it's only an hour or so work.

Hasta la supervista baby

Panic stations panic stations! Overheating....my plan failed b*gger! Ah....just a minute...shall I tighten the bottom hose so all the water doesn't leak out overnight!
All sorted and she sits on 1/4 on the temp gauge on tickover.

So does Bonnie, sits just under the red but is defo not running hot and doesn't use any water. I guess the gauge I fitted is a bit out of calibration:I

Motorway test complete. Sits at 3000rpm temp right in the middle. 60-65mph. Warm ankles from the heater which also brings down the temp gauge a tad. Next stop Newhaven the France for two weeks.

We have made it down to worthing and are staying at a britstop tonight. The van behaved faultlessly. 180 mil3s, half on motorways, half on A roads. Cracking
