Lol. Managed to work my arse off through the week to enable me to visit Cambridgeshire and pick the van up. We have had a long range ally tank fitted for forays to Berlin and we have had a six speed box fitted. The journey home was interesting as Tim had fitted new bushes to the gear change mech, and things were snug and are needing a bit of usage to loosen them up and getting used to the extra gears. There is not such a big jump between third and fourth now, which is good for the hill climbing. I was cruising in sixth happily overtaking HGVs and caravan ears at 3000rpm. We will look at the accuracy of the speedo, as Tim said, it was tends to exaggerate.
I brimmed the tank as close to six speed nirvana as possible and the remaining 80 mile trip home used just under a quarter of a tank.
just some snagging to do before the MOT?

right then.....first trip away coming up.

The tank will read empty even when there is a gallon + left, as i set them up to be pessimistic ;)

And Chris isn't keen on cherries, so the cake is ALL MINE :p:D

Our little easter trip is currently 300 miles since friday lunch. A quick hop from Nottingham to S****horpe for an overnight stay at a pig farm. Then surfing in Scarborough for lunch before whitby and guisborough for an overnighter. Headed south before spotting a white dodge autosleeper north of wetherby before going cross country to Holmfirth for tonights stop. Penistone, Glossop buxton and bakewell before hone tomorrow. Thanks to britstops we havent spent a penny on camping fees.


 
If you get chance, have lunch in The Manors pub in Bakewell. My friends have just took it over and really is quality food. Brian, one of the owners is an amazing chef and owned one of the best restaurants in Sheffield before this venture, well worth a visit.
