Martin, I am so sorry to hear this. Having lost my husband 5 years ago, the grief of losing a partner is something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. Although I only met her a few times, I think of her every time I put the cab bed she made for Rupert up, but now it will be an act of remembrance. When I picture her, it is always with a smile on her face (which I always thought was resignation at having to put up with you and your commers - I'm glad to hear she was as much of an enthusiast as you!). There are no words that can be said that will make the pain any less, but I hope everyone's kind words will help you to cope with that pain and find a way to move on.
