If Enigma reads this do you still want photo's of the bed?

Congrats on the MOT Debs[8D]

I got fed up waiting for pics of the bed LOL...i have sorted it so that now we can sleep longways instead of across the van, it's over 6ft:D...I will wait and see it in the flesh at Martins:D

Don't you just love our Commers.....

Last Friday off we set from Lincoln to Runswick Bay, which for those who don't know is on the Coast in North Yorkshire about 120 very hilly miles away.

15 miles out of Lincoln and Brian threw one of his wheel trims and hubcap,[V][V] lost...gone... no more to be seen.

I got to Hull and he decided he didn't need brakes anymore either:(:(:(
Ah well my mis-spent youth came flooding back to me, driving an old HB Viva with brakes that failed on a weekly basis, so I carried on regardless, it was an interesting journey using gears and handbrake to full effect but 60 miles later I pulled into the campsite for the weekends fun.

At this point I'd like to nominate Martin Maltas for "hero" status as after a phone call we'd organised to recover Brian to Commerland on Sunday courtesy of the AA for Martin to fix the brakes Sunday evening.

So yet another Commer rolled into Martin's on the back of a recovery truck. What fun though getting a sneak preview around Commerland :p:p:p:p Big thanks to Martin and Karen for the hospitality, we set off again complete with brakes about 7pm and after a detour via my office to drop acar off got back home safe and sound 11.30pm.

Now where shall I go this weekend.........

Sounds like an interesting trip you had, I'd suggest a nice safe day out to Skeggy this weekend though, lol.

I love all 4 wheeled vehicles, irrespective of age, (apart from Mondeos and Focus').

So was that you who I passed on the road between Scarborough and Whitby last Friday at about half past six?, you did well to negotiate those roads without brakes!, we were on our way to Cayton Bay :) Your van was looking well!

Hi yes that was me waving like a loony as I came down the hill towards you, I had you spotted as you came down the other side of the hill before the bend at the bottom, so was ready to wave even with no brakes:D Your van looks brill, I love the colour.

That "losing my brakes" story sounds pretty scary! And that rollercoaster route on the Yorkshire coast would definitely not be my first choice without brakes. Glad you got through it ok.

I suppose Brian met a very close relative at Commerland...? ;)

Hi Jostein,

Yeah I was straight round to find your Bluebird, it's really interesting to see the differences, I know Brian's interior was redone in 1999 and that the cab was closed off a bit from the back, but yours looks way bigger in the back with the double seats across and the long seat as well.

Brian looks smaller because of the wardrobe one side and the toilet the other, you'll be able to have a good look at Commerfest.:D:D

I'm really looking forward to have a good look at Brian. Should be interesting!

Double vision at the Commerfest! Yah! :D
