Wow, didn't realize I had been this long since posting updates....
He's now got the overdrive gearbox fitted and working a treat after Dave got the switches correctly wired and packed out the od inhibitor switch (came all the way to Commerfest with the reversing light flicking on ) so yes have reversing light as well
Engine cover has been recovered in red vinyl and looks lovely and I managed to buy two brand new karobes red vinyl headrests (original 60s ones still in packaging) but still need to repad the seat bases as he's still shedding foam
I also bought a new drive away awning, which we tried for the first time at Commerfest. I got the Vango Airbeam tall awning which fits straight on the back of the coach built and goes up in minutes with three inflatable sections. This is brilliant as comes with inbuilt groundsheet and bedroom annexe !! We went down to the TR register meet at Malvern straight from Commerfest and stayed at The Marlbank Inn at Welland midweek, brilliant small friendly site with pub/restaurant and £10 / £15 elec. per night. Then on to Three Counties Showground and finally one night Spinneybank Farm, Stoke Golding Nr Nuneaton, right next to the canal and very peaceful. The awning was quick to erect and deflate each time so I'm well chuffed.
