Lol I did read it, and i see it as if you have had no major mods you should be ok, but seeing as adding a caravan to the back is a pretty big mod, that may well be the end of our campers :( unless we go back to original, (no chance of getting hold of) parts.
Just doesn't seem fair!!! What about the vw's too, some guy at the weekend, his van was valued at £28k, with tons of mods, so do you just loose the lot [?]

maybe we should get other car lovers from other forums to arrange a mass blockade. differant cars blocking off differant areas of london and other major cities all on the same day. commers and darksiders cutting off london. hot rods and trikes holding up the M25. custom cars and beetles in other cities. and classic lorries/trucks blocking off dover... GLORIOUS

I'd like to know how they could possibly Police it??? How many MOT testers would know what carb a Commer had on it when it left the factory? whats to say if an overdrive was factory fitted or not? ...you cannot buy genuine new Lucas parts so would a pattern part coil fail? what about if a Commer wasn't fitted with seat belts and you decide to fit some? its still a modification!!

considering what we have to pay for tax, insurance, FUEL i think we are entitled to do as we please with our classics, providing we do it properly. i dont see how they can say that something like a brake servo to improve your brakes and reduce your stopping distance is a bad thing. i think all these mp's in there mercs, bentleys ect are getting way to spoilt, they dont know what affects there actions take as they are technically immune to them
