My Luton van has been sat around for a few years now, mainly used as storage for Commer parts :I It's now time to start doing some bits on it, as I want to use it next year. It used to belong to a bed company in Derbyshire and only covered 20,600 miles.
Anyway, got it on the ramp, needs a bit of welding, but nothing too serious. Strangely the fuel tank is mounted lower than usual, I think to accomodate a lower filler neck. There was a large ribbed hose which had rotted, fortunately I saw it before trying to put fresh fuel in [B)] Fitted a new battery and within a few turns she fired up, runs and ticks over very nice :p
No clutch pedal, so changed the slave and got pressure back only to find the clutch was stuck [V] So a job for another day. Also spotted the rear springs are completely shot, may have something to do with being stood full of parts for so long :I

About time;) The springs look quite perky looking at the van's stance, you never can tell:I

It has a bit of a lean to the drivers side, but I think that has more to do with 15" wheels on n/s and 14's on offside, can't think how that possibly happened :I

Looking good. Can't wait to see it done.

I sorted my garage into 4 piles of stuff.
1. Stuff I`m keeping
2. Stuff I`m not getting rid of.
3. Stuff I might use..one day.
4. Stuff that might come in handy.

I bet its a nightmare to drive if its windy

With more than 10 cubic meters[:0] of cargo space, these vans could shift a fair bit of stuff, albeit quite slowly on the hills i should think.:)

Oh bugger, I've only got 200 24x17x12 boxes, they're just too big ;)
I like the middle pic, looks like they've set out a 60's sitting room:)
