My Luton van has been sat around for a few years now, mainly used as storage for Commer parts :I It's now time to start doing some bits on it, as I want to use it next year. It used to belong to a bed company in Derbyshire and only covered 20,600 miles.
Anyway, got it on the ramp, needs a bit of welding, but nothing too serious. Strangely the fuel tank is mounted lower than usual, I think to accomodate a lower filler neck. There was a large ribbed hose which had rotted, fortunately I saw it before trying to put fresh fuel in [B)] Fitted a new battery and within a few turns she fired up, runs and ticks over very nice
No clutch pedal, so changed the slave and got pressure back only to find the clutch was stuck [V] So a job for another day. Also spotted the rear springs are completely shot, may have something to do with being stood full of parts for so long :I
