Lilith the V8 racing Spacevan

There's a few tenths to be gained once Paul perfects things like launch technique, shift points, tyre pressures etc. Then there's at least another 100hp to come from the engine with a few different bits like cam, manifold & carb. Another 2-300hp with a blower, 150hp worth of nitrous. You have to draw the line somewhere, these engines can go over 1000hp, but it then starts to become impractical for everyday road use.

Stop putting ideas in my head lol

More carb issues this weekend. It sprung a leak from the float Chambers balance pipe then another needle valve issue. The secondary one is sticking open and flooding the engine. It's a new one so more investigation is required.

I still have a couple of old zenith carbs if you need them Paul o_O o_O

Did you buy any merch ;)
Looked through a few other you tube vids of the event and the vans seemed to get lots of (deserved) attention. From the Planet Auto guy who was convinced there was a V6 in X-Box to the bloke who completely missed the huge V8 when he looked, several times, in the back they were all impressed:cool:
Aren't some you tubers weird, they must have out numbered the cars at one point, bouncing around like dodgem cars:oops:

I bought a "triangle of doom" sticker lol.
Everywhere you looked there was another youtuber or somebody doing a piece to camera. I took my camera gear with me but I didn't use it. It was an awesome day as there were so many different types of vehicles and it wasn't the same as a normal show.

Did Martin enjoy himself, as much as Martin can that is ;)
I just put 'Hubnut Social' into the search box and there were loads there, some better than others, and you realise that although Hubnut seems a bit chaotic he's actually very good at what he does

Been out for a drive today. Pulled away from a roundabout and lost oil pressure. Misfire from right bank. I pulled into a pub carpark and got stuck in. I took the rocker cover off and found a missing push rod???
I dug deeper (still in the car park), removed the inlet manifold etc and found the rod and the adrift lifter (the cause of the oil pressure loss)
Bit of battlefield repair and I straightened the rod, checked for true (ish) using the worktop. Rebuilt and fired up within an hour. Drove home no probs. Another set of rods req. Shit happens and hopefully no further damage.
