Well it's in and everything works! The stereo cost me £500 in 1998 and has a 12 disc multi changer, I dont do mp3 lol.
I'm pissed off because in the struggle to fit the console I knelt on a screwdriver causing a dent which ruined the raptor paint on the centre console. Looks like a touch up is needed.

Well I got all the rockers sat in place. I need to pin them into the head once I work out the push rod lengths I need. Yank engines arent like a A series mini engine with adjustable rockers. Ive ordered a tool from the states to do this. Then I need to adjust the pedestals to give as small a contact patch on the valve stem as possible.
The box of bits is now nearly empty as I just fitted the H4 headlights.

Bit more at it. I've been in a skip at work and salvaged some brand new car boot carpets that were removed when the spare wheel kits were fitted to the cars. They have sound deadening on them too. I cut around the remains of the original rubber mats. Turned out spot on, for nothing.
