I'll soon be boarding out the rear of my Commer and very interested in what others have done here.

Firstly, I'm intending to apply cavity wax in all the nooks, crannies and seams etc. and then use marine ply (sealed with a waterproof coating) to cover the rear floor and sides.

Some insulation on the inside of the marine ply seems to be what others have done but apart from seeing some using foil costed bubble wrap type, is there a preferred type/brand of insulation for this purpose ?

For the floor, is it advisable to run some battens across the pressed ribs and lay the ply on that (insulating between these batten 'joists'). Or use thick enough ply to support itself and stick the insulation direct to that - but what will the insulation compress over time and introduce movement ?
 
Are you thinking of pir foil backed insulation? They put it under concrete pads when they build all these new houses. It will probably compress somewhat over the years but you would have a lot less weight sitting on it but the ply needs to spread the load so the ribs will cut into it so the floor would be quite a thick sandwich. Are you carpeting the floor? Would decent underlay insulate enough and good draftproofing?
 
Cheers, I'm not thinking of the Celotex or Kingspan types, more of the rolls of thinner stick on sheeting.
I'm planning a vinyl floor which will help a bit, granted not as much a carpet. Also looking at 4 way stretch to cover the internal panels too.
 
I’ve used stick on stuff which works well not the bubble stuff though more like a 4mm silver foam, looks like it’s what people put behind radiators (it was given to me so don’t know brand). One word of advice, I boarded mine out over the side strengthening ribs in the bed area which made it just too short to sleep across comfortably (I’m 6’). I ended up removing it and covered camping ground mat foam with 4 way stretch felt glued to it and then sticking that direct on to the metal side, I left the ribs in which don’t get in the way but I think AutoSleeper originally cut the bed area ribs out, someone may correct me here. This might not be an issue for you as you have a side door so likely sleep length ways
 
To add under floors I didn’t use any insulating just put ply direct on floor after using cavity wax, doesn’t seem to get cold but maybe that thin foam they use under wood flooring at home would help. These vans are pretty small so don’t want to eat into that space unnecessarily raising floors too much I’d say
