Update with patience, now worked out how to fit a full size double bed that slides away to normal size, what do you think so far another step closer to going away. I have used him daily for work and even for a work horse to pick up wood going great
Update, got the new seals in windows made new panels and cleaned up aluminium frames, finished the sliding bed and measured up for the new headlining. nearly time to sand and varnish another step closer to a overnight getaway.
Another update, I have done a bit when I can he is starting to look like something now. New roof lining arrived today so will be a couple of days the the sewing machine so I can fit it up to complete the woodwork. Getting excited now the 3 of us are having our first weekend away in 2 or 3 weeks so still a lot to do.
I'm not sure if Bass or CommerD actually got to use her. The resto started in 2009 and she was in a sorry state then it must be well over twenty years maybe thirty or more since she was used as a camper.
Some pics of Bass' new ride for your delectation you'll note the earlier commer cornflake style construction in places - will leave it to Woolfy & Bass to give further details:) Bessie - four star commerdation
I know it went from bass to somwhere in Wales painted blue then sold and transported to basicly John o groats and sat for 2 years there to get turned into a mobile shop but never happened, I got it as a non runner and insides was never fixed with water still getting in from when bass had to store it so my thinking that he has never been slept in a good time before the it got to woody for resto work. The box has now been ticked as my daughter fell asleep upstairs yesterday afternoon on a big beanbag lol. Patience is starting to feel the love and looking better and better every weekend I can work on him.
