HEEEEEELPPP Broke down loose disribitor were it bolts on , is she effed

Some metric will fit but you really need AF spanners.
Thanks panky will check out Af ones , soupdragon was saying there should be a gasket were it mounts to the engine block , do u know if it applys to earlier model van , it doesnt say in the manual from what I can see

I would have thought that it would want a gasket as it’s a hole into the engine. They are lovely handles. I keep the boring handles as they would be more forgiving when I headbutt them by mistake lol.
 
Yes AF are imperial but that includes Whitworth and various other standards, stick to AF and you cant go wrong. If the joint under the dizzy isn't pi**ing out oil then leave it alone and don't worry about it

No oil p,,, ing out so will just tighten it , as for the AF , is it 1/2 or 1/4 that's what keeps popping up when I GOOGLE it , on my way to buy a set , just want to be sure , I know nothing about 1/2 or 1/4 ? , I think halfords do a cheap set , hopefully I wont need them that much
 
Those sizes are what connects socket to ratchet etc. 1/4 is small so used for dainty work. 1/2 is common size for nearly everything. 3/4 is big and used for heavy duty stuff which you will unlikely need. You can always get individual 3/4 stuff to do stubborn wheel nuts etcIMG_3078.jpeg
