Got the gearbox on today with a bit of a wrestle, had a run up to Leeds also to see Mr Maltas for a thicker splined friction plate. Having a problem with one bit though. Put the gearbox in and didn't realise it had its gear selector coupling still on (the one not numbered on the diagram). I removed the nut but the pin won't come out, tried everything. The one on my van was only held on with a nut and bolt. Does anyone know how to get it out or should I leave this coupling on and remove the yoke instead, I could then attach the yoke to the one stuck on the gearbox? Didn't look like the yoke would come off easily but now I'm back home looking in the manual home looks like the pin screw could unscrew (26). Is this the option most go with or is there a trick to get the coupling off?
