Gathering in Constable Country

Hi all, Sue and I stayed at the site to get the lie of the land so to speak and can confirm that it is an excellent site with very clean toilets and showers. The Rally field is quite flat and I have got permission to use a fire pit and have a communal area with gazebo's as I don't have a marquee. I have also informed homesteads that some may wish to arrive on the Thursday after 12.00 so as to make the most of their long journeys which might suit some.
I am looking at doing a run out on Saturday morning incorporating some of the local villages and beauty spots.
As of this moment I have 8 Commers , Baz in his trailer tent, Sues daughter and son in law in their Landy and caravan, plus a possible Bedford CF. Unfortunately it looks as though Panky and Barb won't be able to make it as the Pankster has gout.:(:(
So we are looking forward to meeting and greeting everyone as and when they can manage it.;):p:)
So come on Commerades even if you only turn up for a day we would be pleased to see you, just let me know in advance as I will have to meet you at the gate.
Cheers for now . Trev and Sue

Berb? been on the Fosters already;)

This gout bout has lasted almost a month now, over two weeks of that spent unable to even get a shoe on never mind drive:( so a very long drive so soon after will only kick (see what I did there) it off again. I'd like to see a down turn in the turnover of the company that make Ibuprofen as I'm keeping them well into profit at the moment:rolleyes:

Hi Martin, Trev & Sue,
I am still intending on coming. Due to work commitments I may have to arrive Saturday morning and leave on Sunday, but I will try and be there Friday evening if at all possible. looking forward to meeting everyone.
Marcus

Sorry I wont get to meet you this time Panky, but wish you a speedy recovery and hope I get another chance for a chat in the future.

Less than a week to go peeps!!!! Any more of you lovely Commer addicts likely to be coming next w/end? Still have 11 coming at the moment, unfortunately me pal with the Bedford CF has pulled out.
Would like to see more Commerades if at all possible as there are not a lot meets down this end of the country, so where are all you Southern commervan fans? It would be great to see you even for a day, just let me know. Cheers Trev.

Right..................We've got our act together and made a plan. We should be there late-late Friday night, as we've got stuff to do in Oxfordshire all this week. We'll bring a gazebo. I assume we won't be locked out due to late arrival?

Hi Trev,
Just to say due to work commitments and arriving back home late Friday, I am going to come over Saturday morning and will need to leave on Sunday I am afraid. I dont want to miss the little tour I think you mentioned. Do you have an idea what time you might start off on Saturday morning?

Hi All, is there any one who might be wanting to arrive on Thursday PM, if so it can be arranged , so please let me know. I will make sure I will be there on Thursday afternoon.
I am planning a run out on Saturday at a about 11.00am, if anyone is interested, it will be to East Bergholt one of the villages featured in Penelope Keith's Village of the year programme on T.V.
It is where landscape artist John Constable lived and has a very rare bell cage at its 13th century church.
Then on to Flatford Mill where some of Constables most famous paintings where created.
If you could let me know who is interested I can arrange parking altogether. Thanks. Trev

Well there will be plenty of support vehicles for you. Full english, ploughman’s and finish with a pie and pint. :)
