What thickness is the fuel line from tank to fuel pump. I think I might have a leak in an area I can a) see and b) get to... so was wondering if it would be a job I could repair myself?

Luckily it looks like it is at a high point otherwise you could have drained half the tank onto the floor
I suspect the corrosion has been caused by the clips that hold that other pipe/wire to the fuel line. It would probably be better to re-new the whole length of pipe but you could just cut out the affected piece and bridge it with some fuel hose. If you go that route then you might as well take the hose from the end where you cut the metal pipe back to the tank.

It would be wise to inspect the rest of the pipe where it runs above that steel shelf thing. Muck hangs around on top and rots the tube there.
If you use rubber hose, then be sure to use proper fuel hose clips, as ordinary worm drive clips can distort the hose and cause more leaks.
