Fontaine's first week

Thanks Chris she's doing ok, a bit groggy but will be up and about in a week or two. Can i just add that i have paid £10 in NHS car park charges today alone [:0] just for one day!

As soon as i step away from the computer you upload with delightful pics :p. The seatbelts are a brilliant addition. I love that you make these mods/things/additions seem pretty simple, it amazes us. There is real skill in doing that - and i'm in no way being sarcastic!!

Chris, we thought it best not to give you the cake without a thorough test - so we got one as well - i feel full just thinking of it [xx(]:D

I can't wait to hear about the test drive! Border control is on stand by, so i'm afraid you can't go THAT far :D

Hospital charges are a disgrace [V] fact, could you not park & ride [?] making a buisness out of other peoples suffering [:(!]
seat belts were pretty straight forward as we took them from one van & fitted as near as damn it to fontaine I tried them one at a time for size [^] Tim is very good at making things he often amazes me :)
he was cursing the exhaust & I said it's ok you can do it..like a green light goes on :D[}:)]:D
test drive is on hold as we have a cereals event going on down the road massive amounts of traffic don't want to risk it :)
earlier checked the handbrake Tim said just on & off a couple of times,he was at the rear wheels [:0]I said don't forget the handbrakes on the front wheels,Not on the PA it's not HE told me off :D[}:)]:DWe did laugh :D

:D With it being an automatic, putting it in park stops us from using the handbrake fully. Mainly because we didn't really trust it as we have never tried it properley. We were to scared to use it incase it snapped, or got stuck!

I just thought - 'cereals event' what could that be? I was thinking along the lines of kellogs and then the light bulb flickered just north of my bonce! - much like you over the handbrake ;) Had a look on the net and it says it expects 30,000 people over the two days at this event [:0]

Hows about i bring both cakes and four spoons when i come down!? Wait, scrap that, cara won't be able to make it, make that 3 spoons....her misfortune, is our gain :D. I shouldn't really say that whilst shes tucked up in a hospital bed [:0] but without a doubt her choco taste buds would be the same!

Oh, good shout about the Park and Ride. I never thought it would go to the hospital - i assumed it would just go to the city centre...but it doesn't! Thank you.

cereals is a two day event but traffic increases for a good week with setting up & packing up ;) Sybhil is doing a fine job of traffic calming [:0] ......I have been nervously checking her for damage morning noon & night [:eek:)] must be a right sight for all those farmers in their 4x4's as they come flying up the road [8D]
Hand brake does work just have to watch you don't get your fingers stuck :I I also forgot fontaine is auto I can't drive an auto I like shifting gears too much :D[}:)]:D when I said the drivers seat belt better go round me for the test drive I got put in my place :D[}:)]:D :I you can't drive it it's an auto [}:)] I think some one is looking forward to tomorrow,I just need to decide whether to film from road side or in the van [?] perhaps both :D[}:)]:D
cake sounds great spoons sound very civilised :DWe are really sorry cara won't be able to join us :( definately park & ride:(sure we will be at a meet some time in the future though.

Did i say spoons? Sorry, it should read 'Hows about i bring both cakes and four spoons we just dive in'!!

I would say, go with both in the cab, and then on the side filming. I'd also add give it a drive too. You can shift between 1st, 2nd and 3rd on the auto gearbox :D

So, when would you like the cake delivered? Have you a day, time set in mind?

been for 2 test drives today :) exhaust is ok and not too loud :p
but overheated, so i have installed a bike radiator behind the grille as additional cooling [8D]

there is something not quite right with the transmission and the way it shifts [xx(] not sure the engine is set up properly either as it doesn,t really want to rev out [?] and the heat is colossal [:0][:0]
but she does drive really nice otherwise and made a good job of rescuing sybhil after her starter failed :)

we got sybhil tuck safely back up the drive & I went out in fontaine
What a lovely van [^] doesn't seem to float as much a sybhil the seats are very comfortable [8D]looked really cute in my rear view mirror :p just hope that we can sort the gear box out it definately needs sorting [V] it is on it's way off as we speak :)

Jon turned up today to pay the ransom :p and very tasty it is too :D
unfortunately fontaine is still here due to g/box issues :( we spend today trying to change the auto box only to find out the replacement was the wrong one [:(!]

Thanks very much for the tea and that utterly delicious cake -complements to the chef *cough cough*.

My day got worse as i left yours - i returned back and noticed that although i had put a clean jumper on Martins seats to protect them from oil, what i didn't realise was that oil had leaked on to the clean jumper [V]. So we have scrubbed and clean and i hope to goodness it comes off as that could be a costly mistake.

So i came inside to moan to cara, and dropped my phone into a pint of water. It is now buggered. And is a stupid iphone meaning i can't dry the bits off as it is all in a secure seamless case. I also didn't insure it [:(!][V]

I feel totally deflated, but we are very thankful for all your hard work - we will benefit from it in the end!!

We also are ok go for a new engine if thats a possibility and the best option! [8D]:D

oh boy what a day that was :(
at least my visitors had a taste of the neighbourhood & agreed I was quiet compared to the rest of them [^]
yes new engine purchased just needs collecting :p
CAKE :pALMOST ALL GONE [:0] my son came in last night & had three pieces & some mysteriously dissapeared in the night [:0]

oh try some WD 40 on the oil stains ;) lightly sponge off try using kitchin roll to absorb moisture.
