Fontaine's first week

Ha!! This is clearly the threat of a chocolate starved mad man! Moderators, clean this mess up. Sling 'im in the slightly undersized back corner cupboard.. Your punishment....burnt sponge. Don't think we wont do it :D

I have noticed spare wheel tyre needs replacing ok in an emergency but don't go for am mot with it on board.
you don't have seat belts fitted in the front [:0]
you could fit some enertia ones could probably pic some up quite cheaply at a scrap yard or on ebay

Thank you, the spare did look pretty awful. We'll replace it next month before the MOT. The seat belt situation is a worry! We don't need them by law, as they were never fitted, however we feel uneasy everytime we are in it. We asked at a garage how to go about doing it, they said there was no suitable anchor point, unless we reinforced the flooring. We had thought about the enertia belts, do you think we do have suitable anchor points?

So hows the exhaust fitting comming along, have you found the room [:0]

I would be unhappy driving without seat belts,I know a man who can ;) I have jag seat belts in the riley still need to do the back :)
Fontaine now has a snuggly fit exhaust but not resting on engine mount [:0]

still need to fit the oil cooler hope the weather stay's as nice [8D]

thats the exhaust all sorted, you may have noticed the oil cooler thats going on for the gearbox in the pic :)
i can add some seat belts for you, i think we have some here ;)

We couldn't possibly attach seatbelts to Tim could we? [:0] He'd anchor them down :D. When your driving and realise you are roughly at the same height as a big lorry and his big engine it does make us tremble! And it is almost as frustrating sitting on the seat and automatically reaching for a belt....and then the penny drops :I

[:0]:):D Excellent! We can not wait to get back in her. She's gping to think we are rubbish after her hols with you! We did wonder earlier if the exhaust would have to go straight up through the roof, through the holes from the spare wheel carrier - but this is much much better!!

We feel so lucky guys! If you can look into the seabelt horror then we would be even more grateful than we already were. Please please keep a tab of absolutely everything you have done and have used and need and then invoice us along with all your time and effort. Chocolate cake doesn't begin to cover what you are doing!

i will look into it after the oil cooler, but it shouldn,t be a problem if i can find some :I i can weld in strengthener plates with threaded bosses for the anchor points, its something i do quite often when fitting rollcages, but it will cost more cake :p

We've stolen you away from Sybhil - sorry :I Seeing as we only managed about 30 miles last time out, you have plenty of petrol to go out for a test drive - your more than welcome too. Thanks for uploading the vid - we can not wait to get in her either! With everything you've done we feel like we can use her as much as we have wanted to now!
