Fontaine's first week

Will post you tubery after shakedown fingers crossed all will go well :p nothing like getting major jobs done so you can enjoy them,then little & often goes a long way.Trying very hard not to get atatched [8D]

In answer to the question about the evidence for a footpump for the tap, back in the 60's our neighbour had a 1964 PA Autosleeper which had a hand pump which was mounted at the base of the tap itself.

'It's not a proper slider'
 
tim/chris be sure to take plenty of pics of the seatbelt process - I am thinking the pa might need some too

Only the oil cooler done? In a day? With or without rain, you are slacking!! [:0];) You have done so much in such a short space, your allowed to take a raincheque (see what i've done!?) on the rest. Sorry we didn't reply yesterday, we were struggling with fitting one of the cakes we have for you in the freezer. I may take some pics later if i get the chance, however cara is in hospital for an op so i am between visiting hours. Seriously though, clear space for it. Its huuuuge AND we've still got the home made one to do yet [:0]

So does the link pipe need replacing?

That hand water pump looks cool! I really do like that. We have had a newer sink fitted. But as there was no pump on the floor i would say it is more than likely it was a hand pump as you suggest renaultvation, especially as it is roughly the same age as the PA your neighbour had!

link pipe is obsolete now with the oil cooler fitter [8D]
I think you would have had the push pump too.
Not sure what to say about cake [:0] but I have a felling I am about to put on some more weight :I

i should say that all the bolts have BIG washers behind them to spread the load over a bigger area. they seem to work ok :)

fontaine now sports a stainless engine lid stay :p and i have greased all her nipples :I adjusted the h/brake and painted the underside with old engine oil :) as soon as the blanking grommets turn up i will remove the wheel carrier off the roof and she,s rady for road test :p;)
