Seeing as Fontaine is taking another extended break, we thought we would tidy up the cab area. I thought that i would just sand down a little and then re-apply a bit of paint. BUT sadly i have got a little bit more involved. I started sanding down the paint - but have now decided it ALL has to come off, otherwise it just wont look smooth...
I have got rid of the rust at the bottom of the door (as well as i can)
I found this under a layer or three of paint...
And this is the new floor after i got rid of the rust and painted with marshmallow Hammerite - did i do well Chris and Tim??

The sanding has been done....thank goodness [xx(] It was so demoralising at times! Hopefully we can get some primer on it at the weekend and paint it soon after as we are desperate to take a drive......
Fingers crossed she has now had the last few hicups sorted! Fuel is now goin to the new filter, and filing it up at a good rate as apposed to dribbling through. However, the problem was normally after a few miles so a test is needed.
Tim, when we removed the fuel from the tank it was a cloudy yellow colour - any ideas as to why? It may be as it was sat in the old tank for a day before we swapped it over?
Hopefully the fuel sensor is working now - I think the wire was correct on the sender unit, but it needed to be earthed. That seems to have registered correctly now.

We are just doing the inside of the cab panky - I must of sounded extra dramatic for you to think we had done the whole van! I don't envy you if you hand paint Harvey!
A Jackson Pollock it aint, more a pre-school kid standard i'd say Tim! There didn't seam to be much gunk in the pipes but the filter was pretty unclean. The pump looks to be working so fingers crossed really. We will test it on a short journey next week and then arrange to come and collect all our gifts from you - so if your moving, you've got about 2 weeks to scarper before we cause trouble again!
