Well, I need several rather large ones......
The LDV Maxus saga still continues.
After first spending a day or so taking off a turbo, then to find there were pieces of piston ring in the sump and then buying a replacement engine for £1000 plus drat - I finally turned the key on thursday to take it to a place to have the ECU programmed with the new injectors and pump - only to get there to discover that the sump was filling with water and I now had rather a nice grey substance in it. I drove about 60 miles. When I got back home, I drained 10 litres out of a sump that I had just put 6.5 lites of new oil in. Drat, Drat and double Drat.....
So today was spent undoing all the installation work I'd done last week, and tomorrow the engine will be back out and I'll be heading back to Essex to change the replacement engine for a replacement replacement engine.....
I suspect that one of the liners has either cracked or moved during removal and fitting, and this has lead the sump to fill with so much coolant. I did suspect the oil cooler, but that would give different symtoms as the oil would go into the cooling system en masse as it's at higher pressure.
