We made it home in 6.5 hours ish with a few stops to give our ears a rest from the horrible grinding noise but every second was worth it!:) Am well and truly ready for my bed:I Lauren is already snug as a bug in a rug! When is the next one then? :D

Mr charlie commer checking in now with a massive massive thanks to Martin and karen for an amazing weekend, having been in the classic car world for twenty years now i know what it takes to do something like that, and im sure i speak for everybody when i say you are hugely appreciated for doing it. its funny how all the late nights, stress, worry, blood, sweat, tears, ripped knuckles and money probs all dissapear as you chill in a field with a hundred odd like minded people (or should that be a hundred like minded odd people;):I) all thats left to say is thankyou to all involved, organisers, helpers, and all that came, that made it such a warm welcome at half ten friday night after eight hours of screaming gear probs. cheers for the awning help too (you know who you are) love to all

We had a cracking time too. Even if we did get an Asbo from Martin for singing too loudly, too late HAHAHAHA. It was the wine that did it not us i promise.

A few obvious thanks: Martin and Karen of course, Panky and Barb, Bernie and heidi,Moley and Brian, Andy,Admin,Tim,(Tirelessly running round all day sorting peoples van's, mine included) Dave Jones for bringing me those Hubcaps, you're a gent mate. Although you'll never guess what happened........HAHAHAHA. I gave the other three to Baldy as i only needed the 1. Put it on, and it fell off again before we got home:( i now need yet ANOTHER Hubcap. Tony for bringing us the paint;)
Unfortunately i never got many pics as my camera ran out of battery and i forgot my charger. My phone also crashed for some reason? But anyway i got this one!

Yep, 20 miles from home...Had just acheived(Or shall i say, endured) 69mph for the very first time in Duke and noticed an awful noise for around 10+ miles and dismissed it as tappets, then realised my temp:eek: luckily i nursed it into a layby. GUTTED, i thought i'd blown the engine. Turns out to be a Fanbelt snappage;) funny thing was, whilst we were sitting in the back of the tow truck i said to Bex, 'Look at that smug git' as a Darksider drove past...Bex then said 'Be worse if it was another Commer that went by'............With that, i get a tap on the window..........Who was laughing at me through the glass?....Jules HAHAHAHAHAHA! Great timing;) was a real warming feeling seeing him though as we had both left the campsite ages apart. Unfortunately Jules wasn't carrying a spare Fanbelt, but hey ho, we were already on the truck by then. Thanks again Jules.

Anyway, all's well that ends well. Had a great time and was super to meet up with folk old and new. Bring on October at Woolfman's place;)

A huge thanks from Me and Peggy for a great weekend. Special thanks to Martin and Karen for putting up with us all and also to Martin for adjusting my gears so I could select 1st and 2nd as well as 3rd and 4th. Ok, so the adjustment meant my overdrive stopped working but a quick fiddle from Martin got it sorted - Cheers!

Great to meet you either again or for the first time. I'm off to sort out the photos and videos now ........................
