Commerfest 2020

Not long back from a very chilled and relaxing weekend. Great to see old friends after the enforced separation we've all had to deal with and thanks to Colin (Postman Frank) for the tasting session last night, those rusty nails are a kick in the head o_O
And I must apologise to Cristine as we left without saying goodbye, my excuse is I was to involved in filling the back of Bonnie with some of Martin's marvelous panels for the upcoming Harvey mini resto and drove out of the gate oblivious. Soz Chris:oops:
Such a shame that there weren't any representatives who were exclusively from the FB group, probably had their own meet

Looks a great meet-up. Sorry we couldn't be there but hopefully next time!
As an aside, I just caught a bit of a Henry Cole/ Sam Lovegrove program tonight and they were doing a car jumble selling bits from the back of a very nice cream/white Highwayman. I didn't see many good views of the van but it certainly looked nice - anyone know the vehicle? Cheers Tony.

Not a Highwayman. It was a Jennings Roadranger on a Transit chassis if we're thinking of the same programme. But it did look like quite a nice one.

Yep you are right. I could only see the rear end and was convinced that the back was exactly like Pootle. I imagine the coachwork was done by the same company or people who made the Highwayman?

Thanks to Martin and everyone for a great weekend, if slightly shorter than intended. Wonderful to catch with folk after the last difficult 18 months or so.
Looking forward to seeing you all again next year when i hope to arrange another Essex meet. ;)

Great to see everyone again. Thanks for hosting Martin.
Had to do a splash and dash for £10 of diesel at motorway prices to get back but home by 2.30.

Looks like you all had a great time, sorry Deb and I couldn’t make it but we were away on holiday. We wouldn’t have been in Brian as he has gone into retirement and we are not sure what the future holds for him at the moment.
