What a fest ! Personally, I think it was even better than the last one (2010).
It was great to meet up with Commerades again, both "old" and "new". It is such a well balanced bunch that it is simply amazing. Sorry for the ones who couldn't make it this time, but make sure you get on board on the next one - whenever that will be.
A million thanks to Karen, Martin, Panky, Barb, Heidi, Bernie, Andy and others who put such much work into making the Commerfest the success that it became. And a big thanks to everyone who came along to make it the grand fest it was.
We arrived back in Norway veeeery late on Sunday night (1.15am Monday morning to be precise) with two utterly exhausted children who had the most wonderful experience this weekend. Even their mum has warmed to the idea of Commer campervan life, which is a miracle greater than most - and a very welcome change of heart
A HUGE thankyou to Heidi and Bernie for lending us Gladys for the duration of the Commerfest. It became a catalyst for getting the family across and ended up being a great success!
And finally, thanks to Mike (Clarabel) for giving me a right telling off for not having the Highwayman back on the road yet (he was not the only one.. but the most determined). Good intentions are all very well, but sometimes a good kick up the backside is needed to get things moving in the right direction. Note taken, and renewed efforts will follow shortly.
