Commer PB 1600 Fuel Pump...

So I think it's had it, are they interchangeable i.e anyone know if this would fit as it looks slightly different in that mine has a screw on top and missing an inlet (maybe I can unscrew one off mine)?
To cold to go look properly today :-/

That should do the job fine, your inlet will swap over too. Are you sure it's the pump and not a load of crud, maybe from that fox you squashed;)

Could well be - I do need to check that tomorrow but doesn't look that checkable - top comes off to clean filter only I think and the rest looks pressed. I'll double check it

Thanks Panky as always

cant see why its the pump as you managed 60miles,if you didnt put any fuel in after leaving us i think youve dragged all the crud out of the tank.
the gauze in the bowl should trap a lot otherwise disconnect the pump inlet and blow it backwards with an airline.
then disconnect the pipe from the carb and the pump and blow that through

yes thanks - did put £15 at the top of the road, I blew down the main one back to the tank but not checked if there's a filter between the tank and the pump yet. Stripped the top off the pump while at the side of the road and loads of crud in the filter which I cleaned - what I haven't checked is the one between the pump and the filter yet also haven't looked further into the fuel pump - could be a big lump of skin in there I guess. Will clean the lot out tomorrow and see what happens

Crud it was, got a good blow down the pipe to the tank and suddenly felt it clear been out again today in it - great fun and bought another filter to put in on the way, will drive it round to use up the fuel and then drop the tank for a good clean.
