Brake shoe relining with uprated material.

The only problem with that is that the brakes need heating up before they work properly which you probably won't get under normal driving ( I know you're not normal ;)) And running at those high temperatures will cause brakes fade - unless you switch to silicon fluid. I've heard quite a few reports of people fitting the uprated pads only to find the brakes where rubbish when cold. Maybe fitting a servo would be the way forward.

Good point.
A servo is on the list anyway. Hoping it will fit where the old clutch master cylinder was

Sure you can get grippy pads, don’t last as long. Saying that my info is from wheeler dealers when they put them in I think a Volvo Amazon :D

Yep a servo won't make the brakes any better it will just make it easier to lock the brakes, but a useful mod.
Have a word with Martin to see how far he's got with his disc conversion.

Not sure they’re ready yet. Imkeep
Looking for the Hawk stubs, just missed out on a pair from a scrap yard when I found the 4.22 Diff - gutted

The old 'green' AM4 material used to be useless until it warmed up, but AM3 or equivalent is still available. Best speak to a brake relining specialist.
