I have sat quietly whilst Woolfy slags me off over the last few weeks and thought it about time I replied to him. I don’t normally air my grievances on the forum, it spoils it for the rest of us.
Firstly, any agreement we may have had, went out of the window a long time ago. Woolfy has quite often put posts on the forum, saying ‘ I have some of those in stock’ in one case someone wanted a water pump, both my price and Speedys, is £60. He offered one at £50 from his stock. I didn’t go off on one, just let him get on with it.
Secondly and most importantly, I told Woolfy a long time ago, that the flutes in his panels were not correct and if he sorted this out, I would buy them from him. This was never done, so I had a tool made to do them correctly - this is where this all started. The evening I put that on the forum, I got an abusive text from him, threatening to wipe out my business. I still have the text, should anyone wish to see it. He always seems to forget to mention, that it was me that lent him a full set of new panels to copy, in the 1st place.
I am not out to monopolise anything, it’s a free market country. I don’t complain about Speedys or Ratsport selling spares, we buy and sell between each other. People will choose who to buy parts and panels from, we can’t force them.
Woolfy goes on about me having ‘shed loads of money’. I work 7 days a week for what I have and always have. It’s nothing to do with him what I have, or have not. I invest my hard earned money wisely, how I do that is up to me.
Both myself and Woolfy, have put hundreds of hours of our own time and large amounts of money, into keeping Commers on the road, we do it because we love the vans, not for huge financial gain. If that was the case, let’s be honest, we would pick something far more lucrative than Commers.
I’m not bothered if Woolfy wants to sell parts, it might even help him stay in business (he keeps telling us he’s giving up). The Commer community wouldn’t be the same if everything was monopolised by one person.
So Woofy, please wind your neck in, stop having a go at your customers and think of this as a business opportunity.
