I've been trying to get an understanding of my '75 Commer PB 1725cc engine but the workshop manual I currently have is for the Dodge Spacevan and it seems they maybe some differences. I'm currently puzzled by the air intake setup particular re. the position of the flametrap and whether I should have a baffle.
My flametrap takes its feed from the engine side nearest the air intake without any baffle involved, inline via two short pipe connections.
In the Dodge diagrams the feed appears to come from the engine side furthest from the air intake first via a baffle, then the flametrap into a longer run of pipe to the intake.
My guess is that my '75 may have been 'modified' at some point - can anybody shed any light on this and advise what the correct spec is for '75 setup ?
Many thanks
