I sorted my garage into 4 piles of stuff.
1. Stuff I`m keeping
2. Stuff I`m not getting rid of.
3. Stuff I might use..one day.
4. Stuff that might come in handy.
Time Harvey had some attention
The fuel gauge level has always been on half no matter how much was in so I had a fiddle, drained and dropped the tank and took the sender out. The sliding contact on the sender seemed to be a bit slack so a bit of poking with a screwdriver, run an earth from one of the mounting screws and now it works I put the juice back in a gallon at a time - first can nothing - second a flicker - third a bit more - another gallon and it's sitting on a quarter, looks like I've got a healthy reserve:I
Went to Martins for a couple of days in the sun and Bonnie got some attention while we were there
Spot the difference
Tatton Park last month
MOT day
Martins field yesterday
Her rear springs were very tired and she sat low at the back end[V] But a 'strategic stock' pair was borrowed from Martin and taken to Mancunian Springs where they were re-tempered and an extra leaf fitted. She now rides at the perfect height[^] trouble is we need a caravan step to reach Bonnies step now:I Thanks Martin[^]
OOO er missus[:0]
A little bit stiffer but there's a lot weight on the back so not as much of an improvement as you would get on a panel van but she didn't move around as much on the motorway when coaches went flying passed:I and felt more stable on the bends - not surprising as the fixed end bushes were totally shot[xx(]
There is room on the U bolts for yet another leaf if anyone is contemplating doing the same.
I made a thermostat housing with a feed to the heater (but you could always fit a T piece in the top hose) and bought a T piece to fit in the rad bottom hose for the return to the suction of the lekky pump. I fitted a valve into the feed pipe to control the flow as I found it by-passed the radiator a bit too much.
