I had a Type 2 years ago (I know - I can hear the groans...well shush all of ya)!

It was reg'd in March '73 but after writing to the manufacturer for a birth cert. I found it was manufactured (as hoped) pre '73 on 13.12.72 - tax exempt - Bingo!! (£'s returned from our road tax chums - woohoo)!! It's about time the gov returned to something pretty much like other countries and had a rolling tax exempt thing, but that's another topic!
You've got to see the vehicle and docs before parting with any £'s for sure!
