Last time it was for sale in a completely different country (England) The seller has a zero feedback, the last seller did not, and the description is the same virtually word for word.
I smell a giant rat.
Be careful if your wanting to bid because your likely to get a sob story about the van is in England but the seller is in Scotland, the van has to go blah blah blah and payment has to be by bank transfer before you get to see the van....which wont exist and then neither will your money!
You have been warned and if Im wrong I apologise to the zero rated Ebay member, he has after all been an ebay seller for 2 whole days.;)

Bloody Commer`s!

good advice there mate, this cant be genuine not unless people keep buying it with there ebay and then opening a new one to sell it. im just glad dolly turned up safe as this is the auction i had seen a couple of times that made me paranoid thats why i prefer to always take cash on collection.

Everyone has to start somewhere on Ebay but there an awful lot of scam deals at the moment all based in Scotland...although the scammers can be anywhere in the world. yesterday there was a Talbot Express Swift Kontiki for sale at £3500 which is about £4000 less than its worth and it was offered by another zero rated Scottish seller!
This all give Ebay and internet shopping in general a bad name.

Interesting, a little research shows it bid to £5151.51 in Nov 2010

Im so pleased you posted this was a scam, as I was just about to try and place a bid on it.

Useful comments from you all indeed - bit weird trying to sell a vehicle with a zero rating but as Beachboy has already said - you've got to start somewhere! "L" reg vehicle would have been registered Aug 1972 - July '73 Useful info from DVLA:

Date of Liability 01 10 2012
Date of First Registration 02 01 1973
Year of Manufacture 1972
Cylinder Capacity (cc) 1725cc
CO2 Emissions Not Available
Fuel Type PETROL
Export Marker N
Vehicle Status Licence Not Due
Vehicle Colour BLUE
Vehicle Type Approval Not Available

I had a Type 2 years ago (I know - I can hear the groans...well shush all of ya)! ;) It was reg'd in March '73 but after writing to the manufacturer for a birth cert. I found it was manufactured (as hoped) pre '73 on 13.12.72 - tax exempt - Bingo!! (£'s returned from our road tax chums - woohoo)!! It's about time the gov returned to something pretty much like other countries and had a rolling tax exempt thing, but that's another topic!

You've got to see the vehicle and docs before parting with any £'s for sure!

Surprise surprise the listing has been removed!
Now watch it re-appear some time in the future with a different seller and location.

i dont know why anyone would want to part with there money until they have seen the van and its ready for collection anyway:I[?]
