auto sleeper wanted

Bought the green auto sleeper on flea bay.....was going to my bed but it was only sitting at a low price so i bid.....and made the wife a cup of tea who immediatly knew i had done something...[B)]
But she was really pleased we had got a half decent auto sleeper project ....not seen it yet in the flesh...only pictures ;) pick up on fri , in Devon , passports ready:D

Would be great to buy a van all done properly restored for us but will wait till you weaken and part with your pride and joy...only kidding [8D]

[8D] bought the one in essex instead!! , did all the sums on panels /welding and being able to use her staight away , worked out well for us .Still looks like a lot of work to get all the hammerite paint off but will be a "running resto "
What do you think of "Hammy " as a van name !![8D]:D
...can't tell how bad the doors are with the pics but will need a n/s panel at some point.

I'M Still looking for a roof rack?:D

Looks promising Davie:), running resto the way to go, I was sick of mine being 'un running' , Looking for a roof rack myself - wonder if anyone knows whether any darkside racks fit? Hammy? is that a Scots thing?:)
 
i am looking into making a batch of really cool roof racks very soon as i have a really good period one to copy from. but not sure if it will be worth my while incase not enought interest.;)
 
post a pic of the one you want to copy as when i finaly find a commer for the right price i want a nice rack for it and can't find what i want anywere but seen some on old photos that look lovly :)

Woolfy i think that you will definitely not lose out if you start making roof racks for commers, i think almost everyone who owns or wants to own a Commer wants a roof rack to go with it, just so long a its affordable. I am with Newb, post some pics so we can see.

Well Commerland seems to have went a bit mad the last few days , old lady's walking down the street with there dog's buying up commers , Was waiting on BILL GOLD coming back his hols but it looks like it's been touted elsewhere .Keep you all informed but body work again on this van needs work that i can see in photo's and a bumper which was damaged on the recovery after she broke down?.
 
I went to Magnificent Machines last year it was ace! Lots of bonding with my son next to steam engines, scooters and monster truckts! I could come with Jessica (our Commer) but the tax may have run out so it may be the Morris minor :D

I'll have a think about a proper meet in the Edinburgh area - we were in North Berwick a couple of weeks ago, that might fit the bill and the icecream is superb..
