Hello John long time no twee,:D
been to get my sheet metal to repair inner cills ,but found there was a reason there was so much p40 in the seams ..the lower edges of the body are rotten ,that's why it looks bowed above the wheel arches in the pictures { I fell against it and nearly went through } . so will have to re make the lower edge....{ she won't start now {starter doesn't turn ?}and the coil overheats quite quickly when she did run recently so no chance of it making it down to tim , and the white powder in the battery compartment is from a leaky battery cell[)]},found a local welder , so plan is to get as much prepped beforehand and use his time for welding only. Lpg is being taken out as there were safety issues with the instal and I couldn't get an approved installer to certify and fix the issues cost effectively .[xx(]

not seen what's under the lower outer panels yet , leaving them on to give a rough guide so they line up with the top panel first , don't know if that is the best way to tackle it.[?]

Depending on how bad it is I think I'd tackle it from the inside first by removing the cupboards to see the extent of the rot then weld a piece in temporary to support the side then cut off the fluted cill. Once the new inner and outer cills are on then you can do a neater job on the bottom of the side panel. If the lower edge of the side panel isn't too bad then cutting small sections out at a time should stop any distortion.
