A good looking van [8D][8D]

I do like these CI conversion, their above cab styling is rather funky IMO. Plus you've got to love a converter who takes the original lower panels out wider ;)

Not only do they take the lower panels out, but they re-create the Commer flutes. If I remember correctly, they used the same bodywork on Transits and Bedford CF's, retaining the Commer flutes. Just goes to prove which van is the Daddy! :)

Arnold will be getting some much needed top end work whilst I'm in Aus in June. I plan to (or attempt to)strip it down this weekend but will need a hand putting it back together and getting it tuned right. If anyone can point me in the direction of a good mechanic in the Cheshire area it would be much appreciated or if any Commer van fan would like to assist/lead(with reward)let me know. Will be in late June when it goes back together.

Hi Dean, I'll be busy most of June with a plant shut-down in work but we can talk nearer the time and see if I can pop round at some point.

Yes all looks pretty good, ready for Tim to work his magic. Came apart easy too especially since I'm a pen pusher and havent touched the spanners in a while. Everything is bagged and labelled or taped and labelled so hopefully should go back together just as easy.
